Plant Type: Sapodilla is Broad leaved, Seed propagated Woody evergreen tree.

 

Light: Sunny, warm, and frost-free location.

Soil: Very well draining, low to moderate organic material, This tree is highly salt tolerant.

Water: Sapodilla trees are drought resistant, but water once a week if there is no rain.

Temperature: It grows best in areas where annual daytime temperatures are within the range 20 – 34°c, but can tolerate 11 – 42°c

Fertilizer: Fertilize young trees with -8% nitrogen, 2-4% phosphoric acid, and 6-8% potash every two or three months with 1/4 pound and increasing gradually to 1 pound.
