Mandevilla is a vine like shrub plant.

It can be maintained as a shrub with light pruning or can be allowed to developed into moderate sized vine. Large, yellow blooms appear on this vigorous, twining vine from late spring until fall; deep green foliage serves as the perfect contrast; great for arbors, garden walls, containers or baskets.

It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments.

This plant does best in full sun to partial shade. If kept indoors, then the sunny south or east window will work best.

Water the plant thoroughly to make the soil moist and then let the soil almost dry between waterings.

It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth. These flowers need sandy, well-draining soil with plenty of organic material mixed in. A good potting mix is a combination of peat moss, builder’s sand, and leaf mold. They prefer a consistent level of moisture, so aim to keep the soil damp but not soggy

It is not particular as to soil type or pH. A good soil mix for mandevilla plants include two parts peat moss or potting soil to one part builder’s sand.
