Money Plant with Moss Stick (Epipremnum Pinnatum)
Common name: Money Plant
Botanical Name: Epipremnum Aureum Pinnatum
Also Known as:
- Pothos
- Devils Ivy
- Silver Vine
- Taro Vine
- Ivy Arum
Money Plant is an evergreen vine.
It is best for filtering air and increasing oxygen inflow.
Money Plant is one of the best air purifying plant
Epipremnum Aureum/Pinnatum or Scindapsus aureus (in both plant nomenclatures) is the scientific name for Money Plant.
Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light causes the leaves to yellow and wilt. If placing the plant in a window, rotate it regularly to get even light exposure. This plant does best in indirect sunlight or partial shade
Mist the Money Plant with Moss Stick (Epipremnum Pinnatum) every week once. This plant prefers normal household humidity during the summer months. It should be given additional misting every two-three days if air humidity is exceptionally dry. Or the plant is in an air-conditioned space.
Money plants aren’t heavy feeders, feed the plants with organic manure once every six months when using potting mix soil. For normal soil feed bi-monthly, with any balanced houseplant organic manure.
No pruning is required, but it can be done to shape or control the size of your plant and remove yellow leaves that are aging.
If the money plant has robust growth, and it seems to outgrow the pot, it is time to re-pot. After a year you can re-pot in a container 1 or 2 sizes larger, with fresh soil and manure.
(Flowering plants only blossom naturally in their respective seasons. Fruit-bearing plants only produce fruits naturally during their growing seasons. All plants are sold in generic nursery pots, and may naturally vary in colors/sizes from the exact images illustrated above.)
