Phalaenopsis Blume is a herbaceous flowering perennial plant.
Phalaenopsis Blume plants are most effective at removing xylene from the air and absorb toxins. Also, they release oxygen at night.
Phalaenopsis Blume plants are great at air purifying.
Moth orchids are one of the easiest orchids to grow at home and are available widely and are inexpensive.
With proper care, their blooms last for months and they readily rebloom. They are a tropical epiphytic orchid, meaning that in nature they grow on the branches and trunks of trees, but are not parasitic.
Moth orchids are monopodia, growing vertically from a terminal growth point. One or two new leaves will appear at the top of the plant each year, while the older leaves at the base of the plant will die.
Moth Orchid thrives in bright, indirect light, but can tolerate medium, indirect light. You can rotate the plant from time to time to achieve even growth
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the potting medium to dry out between watering. If kept in a decorative, cache planter, pour out excess water after watering. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Orchids do not like dry air, so be sure to keep the humidity around the plant anywhere from 50–70%. During the fall or winter, you can help to boost humidity with a humidifier or wet pebble tray.
Moth Orchids grow well at temperatures of 65°–75°F (15 to 27°C). They can tolerate as low as 55°F(12°C) and as high as 85°F (29°C).
Smaller orchids are potted in either a coco plug or sphagnum moss. They can remain in this potting medium for 1-2 years until their roots and leaves have outgrown the size of the pot and the orchid needs fresh nutrients and larger space.
(Flowering plants only blossom naturally in their respective seasons. Fruit bearing plants only produce fruits naturally during their growing seasons. All plants are sold in generic nursery pots, and may naturally vary in colors/sizes from the exact images illustrated above.)
