Rose Mix Plant (Rosa spp.)
Botanical Name: Rosa spp
Also known as:
- Rose
Rose Mix Plant (Rosa spp.) is an evergreen shrub plant.
The Rosa genus includes over 100 different species of roses, which are classified as deciduous perennial shrubs. Most rose plants share the familiar general appearance, but their branch structure and size can vary widely, ranging from types with a few stiff, woody canes that get snipped back each year to wild masses of twisting, curling vines. Many roses are fast growers and can reach their full size in a few years. Older, species roses and some climbers tend have the longest life (50 years or more) compared to just 6 to 10 for many modern varieties.
Care and Growth:
Soil: Roses grow best in loamy, well drained soil with a pH ranging from 6.5 to 6.8.
Light: Choose a site receiving at least six hours of sun each day
Water: Water regularly while the plant is getting established, and in times of drought after the first growing season.
Temperature: Summer prefers room temperature no higher than 78,8 F in winter, it is desirable to cool the contents of the veranda at a temperature of 41-60,8 F.
Fertilizer: Once a month between April and July, you could apply a balanced granular fertilizer (5-10-5 or 5-10-10). Allow ¾ to 1 cup for each bush, and sprinkle it around the drip line, not against the stem.
(Flowering plants only blossom naturally in their respective seasons. Fruit-bearing plants only produce fruits naturally during their growing seasons. All plants are sold in generic nursery pots, and may naturally vary in colors/sizes from the exact images illustrated above.)
