Plant Type: Lantana camara are perennial shrub plants.

Light: Lantana needs full sun and dry location. A West or south-facing window will be an ideal location. In the tropics, you can grow lantana in partial shade too.

Soil: Lantanas prefer a rich soil with slight acidity. You can mix your pre-existing soil with pine needles to bump up the acidity.

Water: Before lantanas flower, they prefer a lot of watering. After their flowers bloom, you only have to water your lantana once a week (or even less), as they are very tolerant to drought

Temperature: Normal room temperatures 16-24°C. Lantanas are cold-hardy to USDA Zone 9, if you put them outdoors.

Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer, such as a 10-10-10 blend, at the rate advised on the package. Sprinkle the fertilizer on the soil, six inches from the base of the plant, then water thoroughly so the nutrients dissolve into the soil.

Native to West Indies.
