Areca Palm Thailand (Dypsis Lutescens) is an evergreen outdoor palm plant.

Areca Palm Thailand (Dypsis Lutescens) is one of the most widely used palms for bright exteriors. It features feathery, arching fronds, each with up to 100 leaflets. These big, bold plants command attention. The light green fronds are borne on slender, clumping, yellow-orange stalks. Arecas grow 6 to 10 inches a year and often outgrow their allotted space.

Care and Growth: 

Soil: The soil should be well drained and fertile for growing Areca plant.

Light: Bright light but no direct sunlight. Leaves turn yellowish-green in direct sunlight.

Water: Areca Palms require just enough water to keep the soil moist make sure that it’s not too dry. Strive for moist soil but not soggy and you’ll do well. During the cooler winter months you can allow the soil to dry out in between watering

Temperature: It grows best when surrounding temperatures hold around 65 to 72°F (18 to 22°C) and requires very good light, even some direct sunlight.

Fertilizer: The Areca Palm is a heavy feeder and requires fertilizing from spring to early fall with a liquid fertilizer, following label instructions. Do not feed during the late fall and winter when the plant is dormant.
