Growth & Care:

Watering:

Keeping the soil evenly moist at all times, and only watering when the top of soil has started to dry out, will prevent yellow leaves.

Light:

Dieffenbachia prefers diffused sunlight or partial shade, but will tolerate full shade, which is why it is well-suited as a houseplant.

Temperature:

It thrives in temperatures between 60 and 75°F.

Fertilizer:

A diluted nutrient-balanced liquid fertilizer can be applied twice a month during the growing season. Use it according to the instructions on the product packaging. Fertilization is not required in winter.

Medical Importance:

The sap is used in tropical America as an antidote (counter-irritant) against snakebites, and to treat rheumatism and gout externally. It is also used to treat tumors and warts. The seed oil is applied on wounds, burns and inflammations
