Dragon Tree Plant (Dracaena Draco) is an evergreen succulent tree native to subtropical zones on and near the northwest coast of Africa. It is closely related to the corn plant, but unlike that species, Dragon Tree is a much less common houseplant because of its large size.

Care and Growth: 

Soil: Dragon tree prefers a very loose, well-drained potting mix. A succulent/ cactus potting mix can work well; or you can make your own mix by blending fine gravel, peat moss, and leaf humus in equal parts.

Light: If grown indoors, provide bright indirect light, such as near a west- or east-facing window, but outdoors, the plant can absorb even some direct sunlight.

Temperature: Temperatures of 60 to 70 degrees F. (15-21 C.) are best during the day, with night temperatures about ten degrees cooler. However, the dracaena is forgiving of temperatures, as long as they are not too cold.

Watering: Keeping the soil slightly moist is the best indicator of correct watering. During the winter, like most plants they need much less.

Fertilizer: It is necessary to add a solution of complex mineral fertilizer for decorative deciduous plants to the substrate from April to September 2 times a month. In winter, Dracaena does not need fertilizers.
