Ficus Panda provides its highly attractive look, is a green, shiny leaves plant usually found in gardens. Most Ficus trees can produce aerial roots in their natural habitat. Ficus trees are a common plant in the home and office, mainly because they look like a typical tree with a single trunk and a spreading canopy. But for all of their popularity, Ficus plants are finicky. However, if you know how to care for a Ficus tree, you’ll be better equipped with keeping it healthy and happy in your home for years.
Care and Growth:
Soil: Ficus Panda needs rich and well-drained soil.
Light: Most Ficus trees enjoy bright indirect or filtered light with variegated varieties happily able to take medium light. Bright, direct light may result in scalding of the leaves and leaf loss.
Fertilizer: Feed with slow-release pellets in the beginning of the growing season. Fertilize once a month in the spring and summer and once every two months in the fall and winter.
Temperature: Ficus trees also cannot tolerate low temperatures or drafts. They need to be kept in temperatures above 60 degrees F (16 degrees C) and actually prefer temperatures above 70 degrees F (21 degrees C).
Water: Ficus does not like wet feet—in fact, it will quickly drop leaves and look decidedly unhealthy if it is over watered. Allow the top 5–10cm of soil or potting mix to dry out before giving more moisture. Oil: Ficus panda plant requires Rich, humus and well-drained soil.
(Flowering plants only blossom naturally in their respective seasons. Fruit-bearing plants only produce fruits naturally during their growing seasons. All plants are sold in generic nursery pots, and may naturally vary in colors/sizes from the exact images illustrated above.)
