Plant Type: Pennisetum Setaceum is a Perennial Shrub Plant.

Light: full sun to part shade. Best performance is in full sun.

Soil: These plants enjoy moist, well-draining soils

Water: Small amount of water, possible to let it without water for a long period, the plant can grow in regular amount of water and need more water especially in the blooming season but when increase the amount of water need to be good drainage

Temperature: Pennisetum grasses enjoy warm, humid environments and can be grown as perennials in USDA Hardiness Zones 6 to 9. They thrive in sunny, hot, humid regions. However, these grasses can be grown as annuals in colder zones. They are not reliably hardy or cold tolerant in Zone 5 and lower.

Fertilizer: Choose to give it a slow-release fertilizer in spring to give it an extra boost of nutrients over summer if its growth is slow.
